Train service suspended as screws stolen from Mymensingh rail line

Train services on the Jaria-Mymensingh route remained suspended for half an hour as miscreants removed three screws of a sleeper on the railway line in Netrokona.

The train services were suspended from 9am to 9:30am on Tuesday.

Later, the locals informed the railway authorities and the railway employees went to the spot and fixed the screws.

The screws and hooks of the railway line’s sleeper were loose for several months. Later, on Tuesday, some miscreants stole the screws, Assistant Executive Engineer of Bangladesh Railway's Mymensingh Division Akram Hossain.

 Railway police are investigating the matter, the official said.
