Woman, two sons hacked to death in Brahmanbaria

A woman and her two sons were brutally hacked to death by miscreants in Brahmanbaria.

The incident took place around 10am on Tuesday at Charchayani village in Bancharampur upazila.

The deceased were identified as Jessy Akter, 35, Mahin, 14, and Mohin, 7.

The deceased were the wife and son of Saudi expatriate Shah Alam.

According to police and locals, Jessy and her two sons were found dead by their housemaid Jasmine Akter. When nobody opened the door, Jasmine took a spare key from the house next door, and found the three of them dead. 

She later informed the locals.

Noor-e-Alam, officer-in-charge of Bancharampur Model police station, said: "We recovered the bodies of the mother and eldest son from the floor and the body of another son from the bathroom.

“The PBI is coming to the spot. Initially, the mother and the eldest son were found to have bruises on their heads. It is believed that the murder may have taken place in the early hours of the morning,” he added.
