New timings for offices have started from Monday for the month of Ramadan, with a 15-minute break for Zuhr prayer.

The office hours will start from 9am to 3:30pm, announced at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in Dhaka on March 13.

The cabinet approved the new office hours for government, semi-government, autonomous, and semi-autonomous organisations, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said at a briefing at the Secretariat.
