Tk11.25cr bound for ATMs hijacked in Uttara
A gang of armed hijackers snatched Tk 11.25 crore of DBBL from a vehicle in Uttara-16 sector of Dhaka on Thursday morning. The incident took place in the number 11 bridge area around 7:30am.
The vehicle of a security agency was heading towards Dhaka EPZ in Savar to refill DBBL ATM booths, Turag police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moudud Howlader said.
“We have received a complaint that hijackers snatched Tk 11.25 crore in cash at gunpoint. Efforts are underway to recover the money,” he added.
