President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the best children of the nation at the Martyr Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur on Intellectuals Day.

On Wednesday (December 14) at 7 am, first the President, then the Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths. They stood there in silence for some time.

After laying wreaths, the President and Prime Minister spoke to the family members of the martyred intellectuals and inquired about them.

Advisors to the Prime Minister, members of parliament, chiefs of three forces, high-ranking government officials, senior leaders of Awami League and leaders and workers of the organization of the party were present.

Later, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with party leaders paid tribute to the martyrs.
