Most sectors led by insurers, engineering and bank opened lower on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.

At open, the benchmark DSEX index shed 5.50 points or 0.08 per cent to settle at 6,474.

The Shariah-based DSES index lost 2.06 points or 0.14 per cent to 1,411 while the blue-chip index DS30 dropped 0.70 points or 0.02 per cent to 2,353.

The DSE turnover stood so far at Tk 129 crore.

Of the issues traded, 114 advanced, 182 declined, and 58 remained unchanged.
