Most sectors led by NBFIs, telecom, and textile opened higher on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

In the first hour of the day’s trading, the benchmark DESX index gained 23.25 points or 0.35 per cent to 6,507.

The Shariah-based DSES index added 5.91 points or 0.41 per cent to 1,418. Meanwhile, the blue-chip index DS30 rose 8.62 points or 0.36 per cent to 2,362.

The DSE turnover stood so far at Tk 185 crore.

Of the issues traded, 211 advanced, 97 declined, and 52 remained unchanged.
