An earthquake of a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted parts of Bangladesh including the capital Dhaka on Wednesday morning.
As per United States Geological Survey (USGS) data, the epicentre of the earthquake was 8km from Lakhipur in Assam, India.
According to media reports, the tremor was also felt in several districts including Dinajpur, Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Sherpur, Rajshahi and Naogaon.
