The High Court has granted bail to Erfan Selim, son of Dhaka 7 lawmaker Haji Selim, in a case filed for attempting murder of a Bangladesh Navy officer.

The High Court bench of Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim and Justice Md Badruzzaman passed the order on Thursday after disposing of a rule issued in this regard.

Following the court order, now there is no bar for Erfan Selim to be released from jail, his lawyers said.
