Two sedition cases have been filed against Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh chief Junaid Babunagari, Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis leader Muhammad Mamunul Haque and Bangladesh Islami Andolon leader Syed Faizul Karim for making remarks against the erection of sculpture of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Muktijuddha Mancha central president Aminul Islam Bulbul and Bangabandhu Foundation president Malek separately filed the cases with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Saitta Barat Shikder decided to pass an order later in this regard.
