250-bed isolation center to be opened in Ctg.

A 250-bed isolation center will be inaugurated in Chattogram on Saturday afternoon. Information Minister Hasan Mahmud is scheduled to inaugurate the isolation center at the City Convention Center in the Halishahar area of Chattagram city.

Chattogram City Corporation (CHC) has made the community center suitable for corona treatment in a short period of time in collaboration with Seekam Group.

All preparations have already been completed. Beds, mattresses, bed sheets, pillows, baskets, etc. are arranged. A small medicine box has been provided with each bed. 50 new oxygen cylinders and ancillary medical equipment have been procured.

CEO of Chattogram City Corporation, Samsuddoha said that "the information minister will inaugurate the Isolation Center on Saturday afternoon. Patient admission will start a few days after the completion of some ancillary work."

Meanwhile, Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin on Saturday morning exchanged views with 16 doctors, 5 nurses, 14 lab technicians, paramedics, pharmacists, 11 health workers and 7 sample booth workers of the health department in charge of the isolation center.

The meeting was chaired by Nazmul Haque Duke, President of the Education Health Standing Committee.

Chief Executive Officer of Chattogram City Corporation, Samsuddoha, the mayor's Private Secretary Mohammad Abul Hashem, chief health officer, Selim Akhtar Chowdhury, Director of the Isolation Center Sushant Barua were present at the meeting.
