Activities of one more hospital in city halted for 'misdeeds'

The government has halted activities of one more hospital in the capital for alleged irregularities, including lack of licence and use of substandard intensive care unit (ICU).

The decision to halt activities of Uttara Al-Ashraf General Hospital Limited was taken on Tuesday as director (hospital and clinic) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Farid Hossain Mia signed a letter in this connection.
According to the letter, an inspection team of the DGHS visited the Uttara Al-Ashraf General Hospital Limited on July 20 and found various irregularities there.
