Covid-19 stricken MP Israfil Alam is no more

Israfil Alam, a Member of Parliament for Naogaon's six-seat constituency and joint general secretary of the Naogaon district Awami League, died at Dhaka's Square Hospital.

On Monday (July 26) at 8:20 am, the doctor on duty declared him dead. Israt Sultana, the eldest daughter of the MP, confirmed the death.

He was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital on July 23 for physical problems. He was suffering from various physical problems including water accumulation in the liver. He was kept on life support for two days after his body deteriorated while being treated at the hospital. He died this morning.
