Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to reopen its flight operation to Kuwait from August 4 as well as increase flight frequency on Dubai route from now on to weekly five flights from existing three.

“We have decided to operate weekly one scheduled commercial flight on Dhaka-Kuwait-Dhaka route on every Tuesday from August 4,” Biman’s spokesperson Tahera Khondokar said, reports BSS.

The national flag carrier is going to reopen Kuwait flight as its fourth international destination following London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi after resumption of its nearly three months’ flight suspension, on June 21 due to containment of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Biman has also decided to operate five weekly flights on Dhaka-Dubai-Dhaka destination from now on as the carrier has been operating three weekly flights on the route after relinking air connectivity between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on July 13.

On June 21, Biman first resumed its international flight operation through weekly one flight on Dhaka-London route by its Dreamliner 787-8 after the suspension.

Biman decided to operate international flight by ensuring social distancing in seat allocation and proper aircraft cleaning measures as per the guideline of the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) as well as making modified meal service and care kits available for all passengers.
