Coronavirus: Global death toll climbs to 557,411

The global death toll from coronavirus reached 557,411 at 10:40 am till Friday (Bangladesh Time), according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 1,23,90,370 people have tested positive for coronavirus while 72,20,657 patients have made full recovery across the world, the source said.
Besides, the active cases are 46,12,302 worldwide till date.

With the fresh tally around 24 hours, 5,299 people died across the world while 219,962 people have been detected with the novel coronavirus, and 151,469 have made full recovery worldwide till date.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US death toll has gone up to 135,822, followed by Brazil with 69,254, UK 44,602, Italy 34,926, France 29,979, Spain 28,401, Mexico 33,526, India 21,623, Iran 12,305, Canada 8,749, China 4,634, Bangladesh 2,238, Saudi Arabia 2,100, Indonesia 3,417, Philippines 1,314  and Australia 106 respectively, according to worldometer.
