Half a crore people affected by floods so far

Heavy rains and landslides from upstream have caused severe flooding in the south-eastern districts of the country. 10 lakh 47 thousand 29 families are trapped in water in 11 districts of the country due to flood. The number of affected people in these areas is 52 lakh 9 thousand 798. So far 18 people have died in the floods. Two are missing.

The disaster-related daily report of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief has highlighted these facts on Sunday (August 25). This report was published at 3 pm.

According to the report, five people died in Chattogram, four in Cumilla, three in Noakhali, three in Cox's Bazar, one in Feni, one in Brahmanbaria and one in Lakshmipur. Apart from this, the two missing are from Moulvibazar.
