French President Emmanuel Macron sent a letter congratulating the Interim Government Chief Advisor Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus. In this regard, He assured Yunus and his government of full support.
Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam informed this on Wednesday (August 21).
In that letter addressed to Dr Yunus, the French President wrote, I sincerely congratulate you (Dr Yunus) on being appointed as the Chief Advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is now in the transition period. The important task of the interim government under your leadership will be to prepare the ground for democratic national elections and ensure a peaceful environment. As such, I welcome the message you have already sent on this matter.
Reassuring Dr Yunus, Emmanuel Macron said, 'In the difficult times your country is going through, you know that France will support you.'
