Chief Justice along with two advisors take oath

Interim governments' two advisors and the newly appointed Chief Justice were sworn in.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered their oath in Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban around 1pm on Sunday (August 11).

President administered oath to Syed Refaat Ahmed as Chief Justice first. Later two advisors Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar and Supradeep Chakma took oath.

Earlier, the President appointed Syed Refaat Ahmed as the 25th Chief Justice of Bangladesh after Justice Obaidul Hassan's resignation. A notification was issued on Saturday night in this regard.

It is to be noted that Sheikh Hasina left the country by resigning from post of Prime Minister on August 5. Then students proposed Dr Muhammad Yunus to assign as chief advisor of interim government.
