A recognition ceremony for 20 mentors was organized at CSS Ava Center, Rupsa Khulna by Ashshash project funded by Swiss Embassy implemented by Winrock International.

Mentorshave been awarded this honorary crest in recognition of their social service contribution by increasing the skills of survivors through area-based skill development training as well as providing them with employment.

At this time, 5 survivors who have joined the work after completing mentor mentee training presented their experiences.

Basically, by taking this new initiative of Ashshash project, the survivors are able to become self-sufficient after receiving the mentor-mentee training.

Consequently, it has been decided to reward such mentors from Ashshash project who are helping the needy people to turn around financially. Additional District Magistrate of Khulna district SM Munim Linkon was present as the chief guest in the function of awarding the mentors.

Principal of Khulna Women TTC Md. Riaz Sharif, Assistant Director of District Youth Development SM Badiuzzaman, President of Khulna District Nasib Iftekhar Ali (Babu), Secretary of Bangladesh Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Khulna MstManowara Khatun, Senior Accountsand Admin Officer of Caritas Vinay Krishna Samaddar were present as special guests.

Winrock International Ashshash Project Grants and Operations Manager Swapan Gomez and Training and Employment Manager Md. Omar Faruk were also present.

The chief guest and special guests of the program in their speech expressed hope that their organization will always be with them for this kind of social service work of Ashshash project in the future.

The mentors present at the event shared their work experiences and learnings at the field level and at the end of the event received honorary crests from the chief guests and special guests.

Among others present on the event were MAWTS project coordinator Provash Biswas, District Project Officer Ananda Kumar Das and Md Moinuddin, Monitoring and Documentation Officer Faruk Hossain and Ziaul Islam and other officials of DAM and AgrogotiSangstha.

Md. Omar Faruk, Training and Employment Manager of Winrock International's Ashshash Project conducted the whole function of awarding the mentors.
