World Tourism Day today: Cox's Bazar getting tourist after easing lock-down

The World Tourism Day is being observed in the country today (Monday) like elsewhere in the world focusing the inclusive growth in the global travel and leisure arena.

The government and different organisations have chalked out various programmes, maintaining the health protocols due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to celebrate the day with the global theme 'Tourism for Inclusive Growth'.


To mark the day, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation has organized a cooking show at the Parjatab Bhaban in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

Oh, unseen killer, don't give us hurt deep inside  . Oh, don't give us pain to see someone cry. How many times will need to stop your killing  ? Should I ask you or should I keep cool? I don't know. Lock-down has stopped, but my eyes' still see the dark ,and dusty I had seen. 
Said, Russel, An Air-Plane ticket seller who operate his business from Cox's Bazar city. When asking these questions to Corona Virus, Russel Junior also sat by his dad at his office. 
Amid the situation, World Tourism day 2021 to be celebrated in the country on September 27 this year. However people in the country will not be seen any colorful program on the day.
After easing lock-down caused by covid-19,  Country's one of the most popular  tourism city Cox's Bazar is being changed gradually. Thousands of workers who lost their job during lock-down are coming back to their professions. 
Meanwhile, A large number of domestic tourists visited Cox's Bazar last friday. With their footsteps the city had got its old face. Businesses closely related with tourism sector are running well. However the hoteliers are not very happy for it. 
Abul Kasem Sikder, a hotelier who is also the general secretary of Guest House Owners' Association of Cox's Bazar, Said, Government had given us a small amount of money as incentive for Covid-19. But it was insufficient. It is true that a small number of domestic tourists have been coming to Cox's Bazar to see it natural beauty. We can considered it `Something is better than nothing.'
Nurul Kabir Pasha, A hotelier, said, As a renter I had to pay a lot of money to owner. But Many renters like I'm didn't get incentive from Government. I do hope, Government will take effective measure to survive us and country's tourism industry.
