Extreme heat in Kaliakair of Gazipur, on the other hand, regular load shedding of electricity has made local life unbearable.  With the increase in the heat level of the sun before dawn, crookedness is appearing in the rural power transmission line from time to time.  Due to the shortcomings of the distribution and circulation system, the common man is suffering day and night in the scorching heat.

Power outages due to storms are quite common.

There is no electricity even in a little rain.  That too has become normal for many.  But now people are frustrated because there is no electricity without any excuse.  This situation has started in the area under the jurisdiction of various offices including Kaliakair zonal office of Dhaka Pallibidyut Samiti-1.  In Kaliakair upazila, which is famous for its industrial area, various dramas are going on with electricity.  When it rains a little, there is no electricity.  As soon as the clouds rise in the sky, the electricity goes off.  This has made the people of Kaliakair think.

On the one hand, when there is no electricity, even by calling the official number of the power department, the phone is busy.  As the extreme heat of the last few days intensifies, the load shedding of electricity seems to be increasing exponentially.  Although the journey started with load shedding from time to time during the day.  The second step after the evening and the turn to go and go at night which lasts till the last night.  Especially in Kaliakair Rural Electricity Zonal Office and various regional offices under it, there is no solution.  Production is being hampered in factories.

In some areas, electricity is being kept off from morning till day by miking.  Kaliakair Bazar, Safipur, Mouchak, Bhannara, Chandra, Sutrapur, Fulbaria, Chapair, Atabah, Boali, Dhaljora, Jalshuka, Chatailviti, Kanchanpur, Barai Bari and Benupur areas of the upazila have no electricity.  Electricity goes to these areas 2 to 3 times a day.  Sohan and Sumaiya, students of Chatailviti area of the upazila, said that load shedding happens again and again every day, even at night.  Load shedding is going on even in rainy, stormy or good days.  And in doing so, along with the loss of our studies, the loss is the loss of valuable electronics.

Saidi Sabuj Khan, AGM of Kaliakair zonal office, said the power lines in those areas were temporarily shut down when line repairs were done in different areas.  This cannot be called load shedding.  The reason for the load shedding after dusk is that the production is less than the amount we need.  It will be resolved very soon.
