Covid-19 vaccine registration app, site now open

“Surokkha” – the application and website made for online registration of Covid-19 vaccine recipients – is now open to all for entries.

Prof Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, additional director general (ADG) of the Directorate General of Health Services (planning and development), confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday.

People can download the Surokkha app from the Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store.

They can also go on the website to complete the online registration for the Covid-19 vaccine.

While starting their registration through the Surokkha app or website, people will have to provide their names, addresses, NID card numbers, history of comorbidity diseases, Covid-19 test reports (if any), vaccine consent, among other information.

Once that is done, an OTP (one-time-password) will be provided to a vaccine candidate’s mobile number with which he/she will be able to finish the process of registration.

This database will be a unified one for both public and private vaccination efforts.

Meanwhile, if vaccine candidates loses their vaccine registration card, they will be allowed to download it once again from the website, DGHS officials have said.

If someone is unable to register for vaccination at first try, they are requested to wait and try again, according to a Facebook post by the DGHS' verified page.
