Bangladesh logged an additional 21 deaths and 1,637 infections from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours on Monday, counting the death toll to 5,681 and infections to 3,90,206.
Among the deceased, 14 were male and seven were female patients.
A Directorate General of Health Services press release came up with the latest COVID-19 data.
Some 15,146 specimens were tested in the timeline at 110 labs across the country.
Bangladesh had tested a total of 21,78,714 specimens as of October 19.
A total of 1,627 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 3,05,599.
Bangladesh on March 8 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18.
