31 arrested during anti-drug drives in city

Police led anti-drug drives in the capital arrested 31 in last twenty-four hours with different types of contrabands drugs from their possession, an official release said on Saturday, reports BSS.

“Around 4,286 pieces of yaba pills, 10 grams heroin and 1 kg 892gram hemps were recovered during the drive in different city areas”, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a statement.

The arrests were made by the members of different city police stations and the detective branch (DB) for the last twenty four hours till 6 am Saturday. A total of 29 cases were filed under narcotics control act with different police stations against them.
