Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Kazi Nurjahan Begum, mother of Awami League’s Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim.
In a message of condolence, the premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Nurjahan Begum breathed her last at the Combined Military Hospital this morning. She was 81.
She left behind six sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Nurjahan Begum will be laid to eternal rest at her own house in Madaripur after Asr prayer today.
