This was the second repatriation flight from the UK since the start of the pandemic
A specially arranged chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has returned with 157 Bangladeshi nationals, stranded in the UK amidst the coronavirus pandemic, home.
The flight departed with the passengers from London, and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 00:45am Sunday night.
Biman Deputy General Manager Tahera Khondoker confirmed their arrival to Dhaka Tribune.

This was the second repatriation flight from the UK since the start of the pandemic.
The Bangladesh High Commission in London has been in close coordination with the Foreign Ministry to help stranded nationals get back to their home country. They collaborated with Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) to arrange the first chartered flight on May 10 which returned more than 100 stranded Bangladesh citizens from the UK.
The government has so far repatriated stranded Bangladeshis from several countries including India, USA, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea.
